One fateful day,

Tiresias encountered two snakes intertwined. In a moment of anger, he    struck    the snakes.

Unable to resolve their disagreement, they summoned Tiresias, who had lived as both man and woman.

Tiresias said:

"If the pleasures of love are divided into ten parts, the woman enjoys nine, while the man gets 
only one."

Hera became enraged listening to Tiresias divulge the secrets of feminine sexuality

Hera, consumed by rage and

jealousy, cursed Tiresias and

Blinded him

Zeus, unable to undo the punishment,

compensated Tiresias with prophecy,
